What to do when your headlights flop

Headlight failure is such a nightmare that dreads many road users. However, sometimes your headlights will fail at the worst times, say when you are driving down a country road with no service center nearby. Although proper light maintenance can help reduce the chances your lights fail, Greenwood Auto suggests the following when your headlights fail.

You should always be prepared, keeping road flares packed so that you can alert other drivers.

After this you should be able to make some calls about someone to come help. It is very dangerous to try and drive with failing headlights, to you and everyone around.

You should after that pull off the road at a slow speed as soon as possible and leave your hazard lights on for other vehicles to see you. You should avoid parking on the right facing traffic since there are no reflectors on your car’s front side.
